Smerk;^) 2001 - 2006

Smerk began as a freetekno operation beginning in August 2001. Started by Skeeter, and Belladonnakillz. They felt that hardcore/breakcore/whatever was not being represented in Toronto for various reasons. They decided to strike out on their own with the now infamous Unda Tha Bridge party. From there on in, Smerk helped shape the face of the hardcore/breakcore scene in Toronto with its many parties and events.

In 2002, Smerk expanded with the release of its first compilation True Underground Vol. 1. Quickly followed by True Underground Vol. 2. The comps were a showcase of the wide variety of talent that Toronto had to offer the world of hard, and experimental electronics. In 2005, Smerk along with Aklass Rekidz published a tribute to the greatest musical act of all time, Scooter. Unfortunately the cd was a bit of disaster, but that's because it was misunderstood and shunned.

Sensing the life span of Smerk was winding down, Skeeter along with long-time Smerk collaborator Laf-O through one last event, World Warez III. They then held hands, and jumped off a cliff with rich rosy smiles on their faces, and a knowledge that they had made the world a better place.
