The first release of the Manchester-based Noize:tek label is an intense 6 track EP from Ebola (Wrong Music/Sublight). Showcasing a diverse range of abrasive electronic sounds, recalling the hyper edited breaks of Venetian Snares, and relentless dancefloor savagery of Hellfish, Subsonic contains deranged dubstep, off-kilter jungle and some very hard techno.


The EP kicks off with brutal gabba track "Death from a Thousand Paper Cuts" and never lets up from there. Ebola's unique sound apparent throughout, it speeds from one genre to the next, from the heavy sub bass and 8-bit computer sounds of "Nintendo Dubstep", to the 7/4 gabba/breakcore tribute to Sam Raimi's Evil Dead II - "Your Mum's in the Basement".

There are no fillers here, just 6 tracks of dancefloor devastation.
